LIAM LOUGHRAN

Director. Producer. Storyteller.

Liam Loughran is a director and producer dedicated to telling inclusive stories about embracing identity and building community. His short film Lovestruck was a finalist in the world’s largest short film competition, My Rode Reel, and helped earn him the John Huston Scholarship for Directing at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

While in school, he launched his own production company, Loughran Productions. Over the years, he’s created content that helped preserve the underfunded turtle conservation program of Costa Rica’s Corcovado National Park, promoted the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s international tours, and raised awareness about the Lincoln Park Zoo’s safety procedures during the global pandemic.

Liam has also had the pleasure of collaborating with other filmmakers in order to bring their visions to fruition. Working with directors Steve James (AMERICA TO ME - STARZ), Ben Barnz (GENERATION - HBO) taught him the power of perspective in storytelling and the importance of questioning normalized beliefs through media.

After graduating from USC, Liam joined the Gersh Agency, assisting the Head of the Talent Department in representing the most exciting established and up-and-coming talent in the industry as he continues to develop, produce, and direct in the commercial, feature, and television spaces.
